When anger becomes the loudest part
Anger often shows up when you are overloaded, cornered, or carrying more than you have been saying out loud. For some men it comes out fast. For others it turns into shutdown, distance, or coldness.
Therapy is not about making you passive. It is about helping you notice the pattern earlier, respond differently, and repair the damage when needed.

From my work with men
What I look for underneath anger
Anger is often the visible part of a bigger pattern. Under it there may be pressure, shame, fear, exhaustion, or years of feeling like you have to keep everything contained until it spills out sideways.
I do not treat anger like a character flaw. I look at what happens before the reaction, what the anger is doing for you, and what needs to change so you have more control without shutting down.
Common patterns around anger
You get sharp faster than you want to.
You shut down because it feels safer than talking.
Conflict at home or work keeps repeating.
Guilt shows up after the reaction, but the pattern returns.
Stress makes your fuse shorter than it used to be.
You want more control without pretending anger is not there.
How therapy helps with anger
The work is about changing what happens next. That means more awareness, better regulation, and more useful communication.
Stabilize
Notice the body signals and pressure earlier.
Map the pattern
Identify triggers, beliefs, and the loop that escalates conflict.
Build a plan
Practice regulation and repair tools that work in real situations.
What sessions look like
Reviewing real moments instead of speaking in vague terms.
